is amazing. Bob said this is this the first new car/truck that I've gotten that I am really happy about,ya know he's right and why I don't know.I loved my Black Beretta,my Black S10,my Black Blazer,my Tall Feathers F150, The Escape and Escort-not so much.But everyone of them were brand new when I got them,they were all mine,he's always had his own,these were just for me, I picked them all out myself,except for the Escort {blah},but I am sooo tickled over this one -I'm giddy,lol...

My Day Today..

Bob and I painted some exterior doors and trim.
Didn't know that just painting could wear an old person out so much.
Went to the local grocery store for the usual bread,milk,lettuce,coffee creamer. It came to $10 and something, I gave the cashier a $20 and some change,she said,' give me another penny I'll give you back your dime', apparently I mistook a dime for a penny. So we exchanged the change . She gave me my receipt and I was on my way. When I got home I got to thinking where did I put that $10.00. I looked in my purse everywhere, it wasn't there. I called the store and I told the woman who answered that I think they forgot to give me my $10.00 change back.
[I knew it was a long chance I'd ever get it back, but I had to try ,that's all I had till the end of the month}.
She said that was me that waited on you, do you mind waiting till we change drawers and I count it,I agreed and she took my number. Well the phone rang in a little while and she said ,' this is Cindy,I have your money,it will be here,you can get it at your convenience. I thanked her,and I went right away back to the store . The younger girl that was at the desk when I walked up looked at me and smiled and said ,'ten dollars?' I said -yep that's me. She went and got it and I told her to thank Cindy very much for me. She said ,'I sure will'. Thank you Mrs. Cindy Benner,there are honest people out there. I'm so glad you are one!!
Ten bucks isn't much,but when it's all you have it's hard to lose. I have never been very observant,and less so since I have gotten 'old'.But I will try to be from now on....
Later I was blessed to be able to take about a hundred pix of these beauties....

Thank you to those that have been a follower here at Connies Place.
I deleted this blog and was not going to blog again.
I had a change of mind..I do that alot it seems...

I still am not sure if I want to continue blogging and if I do,what exactly do I want for it...but I have changed venue somewhat and I can be found over at the 'Castle In The Wind'..

This vid shows where the deer dance and prance at night in the field next to ours.You can see the difference between our field (hadrly any tracks-to the one adjacent-LOTS of tracks). That field was a soybean field that got harvested in the fall.

I threw some dog food on the floor and Nala and the puppies are eating. [I took this in vivid mode with my new Canon SX30IS.]

Miss Nala playing with the puppies. You'd think she'd eat them up.
They love to play and they adore her. Miss CC stays off to herself pretty much..she is not keen on playing with the rugrats,lol.

They don't chew on things.
They go to their playpen when we need to put them there.
Sugar freaks me out by talking.
I said 'well hello' and she says it back-plain as day.
I said yes and she said yes.

know when she is going to talk.

Is there a patron saint for lost items?
All I know is when I have lost something
and I am at my wits end and I pray..
the item is found.
Again I couldn't find something..it was
important that I find it...the older I get
the more forgetful I am...and anyone who
knows me knows I have clutter to the max...
Working on it slowly but I am trying..anyway
I worried myself sick all night..trying to
wrack my brain..(yeah-insert snicker here)
There were the obvious places-forget it- I never
put things in an obvious place.so, all there was to
do is pray..yeah kinda waste of a prayer..but it
always works..What can I say but Thank-you Lord
once again for getting me out of a jam..
God is good!!!

REMEMBERING J-LAND.................

J-Land-just typing the word brings back a flood of memories. When I first got online and AOL announced they had a place where you could journal,post pictures,hosted from their FTP site. I knew nothing about any of this, it was confusing to me. I had visited others journals to see what it was all about. When I saw tags and animations..wow I got really excited. I asked for about every tag I could find. Then I deceided I wanted to learn to make my own.I went out and bought programs I thought would teach me this. Most weren't for that purpose at all. I asked other taggers how to do things.I joined groups that sent tubes and graphics and then teaching groups.I learned a little but got 'stuck' on something and got no satisfactory assistance. So,I'd quit the group. I do some tags and animations myself,but in no way shape or form am I as good or ever will be as some of those folks I first met on J-Land. Blogs..That word alone is un-pallatable..it doesn't invoke [at least for me] the same feeling and warmth as J-Land. Never will in my book. I am grateful that blogger was there to take over when AOL dumped us. But thinking back at all our J-Land friends,we lost quite a few to passing,to Myspace,to Facebook, to Twitter,to Yahoo, and some just didn't go anywhere else. I like to think of Blogger as our new home,so many of us merged there. But we have fallen lax at being there and being there for each other. I think our spirit was broken and no one knows how or wants to mend it again. I remember the planned group chats.I always felt like a duck out of water there..what was being said was way over my head, but I liked to make an appearance anyway just so I knew I had been part of it. I met a lot of really nice people on J-Land.Some have passed away and I still miss them. I still go to their blogs that were transferred over to Blogger and tell them I miss them. Somehow I think they stop by their blog to be close to us. I cherish my old friends as I do my new ones. So even though J-Land is no longer out there in cyberland..it's still here in my heart. So when you think of me out here in cyberland--

There has been something eating up the cat food at night and ripping open the sacks of corn and making a mess of it and leaving droppings on the feed sacks. We thought it was probably a raccoon. But now we think it's a groundhog...why...well here is a hole something dug out right under the barn door.

Ever notice how some animals get the last laugh??
I went to the kitchen this morning and got myself a couple
of soft chewy peanut butter cookies.
Of course the dogs come running at the prospect of a goodie.
So I got them both a doggie bone.
It was like their twelveth already.
Anyway, Miss Nala gives me the evil eye cause she
knows I got me a better goodie. I ignored the look and went
to sit in the living room to enjoy my coffee and cookies.
She positions herself so that I 'have' to notice her staring,waiting,drooling...

I said to her,No, these are mine...
I finished the first and was about to start the second when it broke
in half and dropped. I thought I'd catch it as it fell on my gown,but,No,
it bypassed my gown and went straight to Miss Nalas feet. She swooped
it up quicker than a blink of an eye and was smacking her lips and
poor CC looks over,like-what did you get-I didn't get anything then she
looks at me like that wasn't fair-I didn't get any.
Guess ya gotta learn to position yourself just right Miss CC-what can
I tell ya-This last ones mine!!!!
